Kingston Farm is located in the rolling hills of Hillsborough, North Carolina. We pride
ourselves in breeding a quality sporthorse that can be a top competitor as well as a
companion. Owner, Mary Messinger is a competitive rider herself and not only breeds
for movement but for an outstanding disposition with high ridability as well. Our mares
are matched to the best stallions whether they stand in the US or abroad.
Kingston Farm believes that young horses should grow up like real horses. They are raised
outside 24 x 7 with other horses their age so that they can develop their bones and their
minds. Their diet is carefully managed with twice a day feedings which include a well
balanced feed for growing young horses along with top quality hay. The horses are
handled on a routine basis so trailering, clipping, cross tying, grooming and standing for the
farrier and vet are just part of the day. The young horses are routinely worked in-hand and
love to learn. We are often complimented on our horses' manners by vets, farriers and
judges. This makes a huge difference when you see them in person or in the show ring.
